They are starting to see upticks in test positivity in certain groups (younger people – 30-40 y.o.), but not the general population since they are decreasing the number of tests; however, it might not be totally reflective of what is going on. Gov. DeSantis is legally preventing the Mayors from doing what needs to be done. They cannot close bars or restaurants. DeSantis is preventing them from doing what needs to be done. Mayors are frustrated. Phone call with Governor Inslee (D-WA). He wants my help in doing a PSA or an interview to encourage the people of Washington state to abide by public health guidelines since they are experiencing a slight surge in cases when they were previously doing very well.
