Global – 131,500,000/2,900,000; USA – 30,600,000/554,400 Had Zoom call with Pascal Soriot, CEO of AstraZeneca. He wanted to apologize for the miscommunications concerning the interactions between AZ and the DSMB a couple of weeks ago. He wanted my advice as to the best way forward. I explained to him that the most important thing for him to do would be to wait until the United States FDA comes out with their EUA. This would give the AZ product the validity that he is hoping for. I also mentioned that the confusion associated with the mixed up dosing situation associated with the Oxford group added a degree of skepticism about the entire AZ product. Best thing to do is to wait to see but the FDA says about the product.
