Global – 185,000,000/4,000,000; USA – 33,600,000/604,000 is waning after a period of several months. This created a lot of confusion and we all gathered on multiple phone calls yesterday evening in order to come out with a statement jointly from the CDC and FDA indicating that at this time if you are fully vaccinated you do not need a booster shot. In the middle of all of this I called up Mikael Dolstein and try to find out what was going on. He said that their statement was based on the Israeli data as well as data from their original phase three study which showed a modest degree of waning immunity after several months. Later in the evening I received a phone call from Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla who was very sorry and apologetic that he did not Alert me about the Pfizer announcement ahead of time. We will be arranging a meeting next week likely on Monday July 12 to discuss all of this with the visor people.
