I was supposed to be with the President today in the Roosevelt room of The West Wing for his announcement about how we are going to approach the upcoming full season with regard to our response to COVID. This relates to the new message of trying to get updated COVID vaccines (in this case BA.5 bivalent) to be given on an annual basis similar to the flu. However, sadly, Queen Elizabeth passed away within minutes of the scheduled press briefing and so we called it off and we will reschedule.
