Monkeypox cases continue to decline in daily cases. Total for USA = ~22,000; for world ~60,000: Joel Szabat who was the acting Secretary of DoT during the trump administration asked me to say a few words to his group at the Department of Transportation at his last COVID meeting with them. Joel is really a good guy and he was so pleased that I took the time to pipe in by zoom to his last meeting and congratulate him and all the Department of Transportation workers for the good work that they did during the COVID outbreak. I was extraordinarily well received by the group for taking the time out to join them and to congratulate them on their good work. I also have been doing on a regular basis the principals meeting as well as our resuming on a more regular basis the White House press briefings. I have not mentioned these in previous notes but they are occurring on a regular basis. Today I briefed the principles on the rationale for the BA .5 bivalence booster shots.
